Official Name: Phi Sigma Sigma Fraternity Inc.

Founded: November 26th 1913 at Hunter College - New York, New York.

Phi Sigma Sigma has a long history, rich in values and traditions. Nationally, we are celebrating 91 years this fall. Locally, we are going to be 34 in May of 2005.

In 1968, courageous women on the Clarion State College campus noticed a need for another sorority. These women got together and formed the local sorority, Beta Xi Omega. The Beta Xi Omega sisters were not content with staying a local organization, they interviewed and were interviewed by national organizations, and made the decision that Phi Sigma Sigma was a perfect fit.

In the fall of 1985 the Gamma Gamma chapter was closed due to low numbers. One year later in the fall of 1986, Gamma Gamma came back full force and has since been a leader on Clarion's campus ever since.
